[In the future, outside the Plumber Headquarters, Maltruant makes a getaway in his chariot pulled by a Time Beast. He disappears in a flash of red light, leaving Ben and Rook behind. Ben lets Spanner to the ground and hands him off to Ben 10,000 and Kai.]
Come on, Rook.
[Ben floats up to their Time Cycles. Just as he tries to get in, Professor Paradox appears from a portal.]
Hurry, Benjamin. [removes goggles] You haven't much time.
Ugh. "Time" pun. Good one, Professor Paradox.
Unintended.
[Paradox opens a portal and summons a Time Beast egg. He opens a hatch on the Time Cycles and places it inside.]
Leave now, and you may still catch Maltruant in the timestream. [closes hatch] If not, then this Time Beast's egg will power your journey to places beyond even my reach.
[Ben and Rook sit in their Time Cycles.]
I know you will not fail.
I won't.
[The Time Cycles close their windshields and Skurd appears before Ben.]
So serious.
[The Time Cycles blast off and disappear in a green flash. In the timestream, Maltruant's chariot is pulled along. The Time Cycles suddenly appear behind him, and he fires off missiles at them. They swerve around them.]
Donuts!
Do maintain a safe distance.
Maintain, shmaintain.
[Ben flies the Time Cycles up to Maltruant's chariot and rams it. The Time Beast is forced out of the timestream, but the chariot remains inside.]
Ben, be careful. We do not want to end up like that Time Beast.
We're shielded, right?
[The Time Cycles swerve away.]
Ben!
[Ben once again rams the chariot, causing both parties to exit the timestream.]
[The Time Cycles crash-land in a forest on Earth. Ben crawls out of his Time Cycle.]
[groans; chuckles] That could've gone worse.
Worse?! You tore through the fabric of existence with no regard for our safety. Our quarry is gone, and we are lost in time!
If we're lost, so is Maltruant. Besides, Paradox put me in charge, so we do this my way. This is not a democracy.
[Someone steps before the trio.]
Huh?
[Rook draws his Proto-Tool. The person steps out the shadows, revealing themselves to be George Washington, armed with a musket.]
