Anastasia Dualla quotes from Battlestar Galactica (2003)

I don't think the problem is that you've been betrayed, I think its that you feel helpless. You were shot, you were injured, and when you finally had a chance to do something, you let us down. You made a promise, to all of us...

Anastasia Dualla

Attention unknown vessel, this is the Battlestar Galactica. Identify yourself or we will fire upon you.

Felix Gaeta

Range now 1700, sir. [long pause]

This is the Battlestar Pegasus to the ship claiming to be the Galactica. Please respond.

Saul Tigh

Pegasus? How could that be? The entire fleet was destroyed.

[orders Dualla] Give me direct contact. [speaks] Pegasus, this is Galactica actual. Authenticate identity with recognition codes immediately.

Dualla

[sees panel] Sir. I'm receiving Colonial recognition codes. They're authentic.

Admiral Helena Cain

Galactica, this is Pegasus actual, Adama, is that you?

Adama

Cain. What a pleasure to hear your voice.

Cain

[to XO Jack Fisk] Disengage.

Red Team, disengage. Red Team, disengage.

Cain

Commander, I don't know what to say. This is a miracle.

Adama

You took the words right out of my mouth. [orders crew] Step down to Condition One throughout the fleet.

Galactica, Apollo, you are not going to believe what I'm looking at out here. It's like a dream. It is a dream. [laughs and smiles at seeing Battlestar Pegasus and escort fighters]

Set main batteries to auto-fire cycle B! Lock engines ahead flank! [into announcement system] This is the Commander: abandon ship, abandon ship! All hands, abandon ship. Report to evac Raptors and jump to rendezvous point! Good work, and I'll see you on the other side.

Dualla

All right, people, let's move! Out! Let's go! [turns to see Apollo lingering at his station] You too, Commander.

Yes, sir. [starts to leave, but pauses to take one last look at the CIC; addressing the ship herself] Thank you.

Check it out. It's a great place for a house.

So you're really gonna give up flying.

Ah, flying's gonna suck now anyway. Lots of training, endless CAPs. The war's over. So's all the good stuff.

Gimme a tour of the future life of Kara Anders.

I'm not getting married.

Well, then - then what's the point, Kara? I mean, you love him, right?

Where are we going with this, Lee?

Well, now, that's the question, isn't it- where are we going? I mean, what if this- this is it? The rest of your life, Kara. Is this how you want to spend it? Is this who you want to spend it with?

What's going on?

Dualla

What's it look like?

Looks like they're trying to kill each other.

Dualla

That's one perspective.

[laughs] Well, that makes things more complicated.

Yeah.

What are we gonna do?

What are we gonna do? We accept it. Tomorrow, I tell Dee, you tell Sam.

Just like that?

Just like that.

I don't know.

Yeah, we tell them how we feel. We shout it to the skies.

Yeah, right. Mm-hmm.

Well, you... You don't think I will?

Mm-mm. [giggles]

[Stands up] MY NAME IS LEE ADAMA, AND I LOVE KARA THRACE!!

[laughing] Calm down!

Well, it's not like anybody'll hear. We're in your cabin in the forest, right?

Ah. [giggles]

I LOVE KARA THRACE! AND I DON'T CARE WHO FRAKKING KNOWS!

Oh, you're crazy. Get down.

Well, come on. I'm not gonna stop until you get up and do it too.

I can't.

I'm gonna- Okay, here we go again. Lee Adama...

Okay, shh! [She stands] Okay. Ka - [gasps] KARA THRACE LOVES LEE ADAMA! [They kiss. Starbuck stops smiling and looks serious.]

He won't cheat. He's too honorable.

Dualla

Unlike you.

Yeah, unlike me. I love Sam, I hate Sam. I love Lee, I hate Lee. Gods, I have to cheat just to keep the pieces all nice and neat.

What?

Felix Gaeta

You're glowing.

Am I?

Gaeta

All I can think of is that waste of a planet.

Felix, please... I just want to hang on to this feeling for as long as I can.

Gaeta

Okay. [hobbles over to stand next to her and indicates a photo of Dee as a little girl] Look at that. Little Ana's got her smile back.

Sometimes I don't even remember that's me. So long ago... she has no frakking idea what's ahead of her.

Gaeta

Yeah. None of us do.
