Senator Robert Kelly quotes from Wolverine and the X-Men

Your family has been torn apart. Your friends have all turned their backs on you. You can't even look at yourself in the mirror all because of one thing, the X-Gene, that tiny mutation that has ruined your life. But thanks to the dedicated scientists of Worthington Pharmaceuticals, the Legacy cure can now reverse the damage. Yes, we can make you normal again, because we care.

[By teleconference] Nice. I like that caring angle. Now what is it, Warren?

My son is missing, Robert.

But why worry? You know he'll turn up eventually. After all, he couldn't have gotten very far.

[Smashes through window] Hello, Father.

Warren? What is this?

Retribution. [Smashes TV and swipes table to side]

[Backs against wall] What's happened to you?

You took something from me, Father, and I got it back.

No. No, this isn't you.

It is now. [Throws four metal spikes pinning Warren to wall] Eye for an eye, Father. And what is it you hold dear, hmm? Your empire? And it's only fitting I take it from you, starting with your cure! [Flies out window and flies into another window of lower floor, with Warren taking elevator to ground floor to observe smashed laboratory] Come to say goodbye to your legacy?

Please, Son, you don't know what you're doing!

My mind has never been so clear! And next, your Sentinel factories are going down! You'll get to watch that, too! Now let's go!

No! [Slams vault door shut and slides down to floor with head in hands in extreme torment with Angel scraping at door with wings]

[To Warren standing at smashed window of office] What do you mean you're out?!

The cure is wrong! The Sentinels are wrong! I was wrong!

Yeah?! Then so was I, [pointing] by trusting that you'd see this through to the end!

The end of what, Robert?! The world?! [Turns to him] Because that's where we're heading!

[Pointing hand becomes spread and lowered] You helped draw the line between us and them!

And it's growing fainter every day! The damage we caused, the lives we ruined... maybe we're the problem! [Turns back to window]

You think you can just stop it?! Then you're a fool! Powerful people are behind us! [Walks to door] It's out of your hands! Sorry, Warren, in this war, humanity will win! Mutants will lose! And when the dust finally settles, we'll have you to thank! [Walks away]

[Grabs book from her] Whatcha reading, Wanda?

Pietro?

The Cornerstone to Building a Successful Society. Sounds boring. [Wanda causes him to fall back and slide ahead, with her standing over him] Wanda, you can't go yanking a man's power out from under him like that.

What are you doing here, Pietro? You know how father will react if he finds you.

[Zooms behind her] Hey, it's all good. I was invited back.

I seriously doubt that.

It's seriously true. All it took was the delivery of a certain [does airquotes] "package."

What package?

[Takes Wanda to dungeon cell of Senator Robert Kelly] Signed, sealed and delivered.

Let me out of here!

[Grabs Robert's cell bars and gasps]You abducted Senator Kelly?

Hey, it's what the old man wanted.

You fools! I shut down the Sentinel program to prevent the war.

You're only pushing us back into it. Not us. You.
