Colin, Advocate #1 and others in “Unfinished Business”

We are not at full strength, Advocate.

What exactly does that mean?

One of our comrades escaped into the body of a pregnant human. The human gave birth and is in a weakened condition.

Why doesn't she get a new body?

That's the thing; she can't! She's too weak!!

More importantly, what's become of this offspring?

It remains in the hospital. Why?

If this baby is a hybrid life-form, it could be very beneficial to us.

The secret to its survival might well provide the answers to our own survival in this blighted atmosphere.

Bring us this child.

As you command, Advocate.
