Underdog often spoke in rhyme for an extra edge in fighting crime.
Underdog/Shoeshine
(Introduction to his arrival) There's no need to fear, Underdog is here.
(Preparing to fly off into danger) When Miss Polly is in trouble, I am not slow, so it's hip-hip-hip and away I go!
Not plane, nor bird, nor even frog, it's just little old me- (crashes and finishes sheepishly) ... Underdog...
The secret compartment of my ring I fill with an Underdog Super Energy Pill.
Humble and lovable shoeshine boy
Polly
(singing to "Where Has My Little Dog Gone?") Oh, where, oh, where has my Underdog gone? Oh, where, oh, where has he gone?
Simon Bar Sinister
Simon says... (usually followed by a command in relation to his current evil plan)
Of course it works, Cad, EVERYTHING I do works!

Main Title Song
When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog! (Underdog!)
Underdog! (Underdog!)
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder!
Fighting all who rob or plunder!
Underdog! (Ooooooo!)
Underdog! UNDERDOG!!!
Alternate version
When in this world the headlines read,
Of those whose hearts are filled with greed,
Who rob and steal from those in need,
To right this wrong with blinding speed goes
Underdog! (Underdog!)
Underdog! (Underdog!)
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder!
Fighting all who rob or plunder!
Underdog! (Ooooooo!)
Underdog! UNDERDOG!!!
