Lt. Shane Vansen quotes from Space: Above and Beyond

Lt. Shane Vansen

It's inevitable, the same dream, I'm flying amongst the stars, directly towards the sun, alone, always alone. I become aware of a premonition that the sun is about to explode, and what upsets me most, is why, why did the sun have to die.

Lt. Shane Vansen

No one is born that mean, they either put it on for effect, or something happened, something turned them that mean, they can never go back, the worse part is, they know it

Lt. Shane Vansen

Brothers, Sisters, they always see the difference in each other, they never realise they came from the same place

Lt. Shane Vansen

We are not afraid of being placed in jeopardy, but we want to know when we are being placed in it

Lt. Shane Vansen

It would be a relief not to be in command any more, to be responsible for four other lives

Lt. Shane Vansen

For days, everything, before there was anything, you, me the sun and all the stars we can and cannot see were together in a size smaller then this point of light, then by an inexplicable somehow it became. Ten million years later, gravity tried to pull it back creating galaxies, billions of stars, trillions and a solitary earth made of one continent. For the four hundred million years toxic erruptions spilled volcanic ash into an atmosphere devoid of oxygen. Deadly radiation heated the acidic oceans, comets and asteroids rained with force greater than all the nuclear arsenals of the twentieth century and yet by an inexplicable somehow, life became.

Like that last Panda, it has no idea what's about to happen
