[He fires the Ring Road at Zelkova while he battles Knuckles as the Radical Highway theme song, "Vengeance is Mine" from the game Sonic Adventure 2 starts playing.]

[hearing the buzzer go off and talking over the intercom] Red alert! Red alert! We have an intruder on board the ship!
[looming over Cosmo] You traitor!
Wait, Shadow. [He gets up, smirking.] You better have a good explanation for this.
[Shadow raises an eyebrow at the Blue Blur while bearing down on him, then, without saying a word, he charges at Sonic, who counters and the two hedgehogs start scuffling with neither of the pincushions able to gain the upper hand as they growl and glare at each other, teeth clenched. Tails then comes rushing in.]
Sonic!
Tails, grab Cosmo and run away!
[running down the hall, On communicator] Sonic, can you hear me! What's going on?!
[Over communicator] Sonic and Chris got hurt in a fight with Shadow! [Scene Change: Blue Typhoon - Infirmary, She, Cheese, and Amy are in the infirmary. Amy is watching over Sonic, Cheese over Chris, and she is speaking to Knuckles.] They'll be okay, but it'll take some time for them to recover.
[over video] Why were they fighting?
It's really confusing. [Scene Change: The Blue Typhoon, Over communicator] For some reason, Shadow was trying to attack Cosmo!
[On communicator] So he is our enemy!
[cuts in front of Cream, Over communicator] Don't even think about going after Shadow right now! Find Tails and Cosmo and makle sure they're safe! That's an order!
[On communicator] I know what I'm doing! Nobody'll be safe on this ship 'til we stop Shadow!
[Meanwhile, Shadow fires a series of Chaos Spears at Knuckles, who dodges every bombardment by Quick Stepping left to right before trying to land a punch on the black hedgehog, missing as he teleports behind the red echidna and then throws another Chaos Spear at a pipe, causing it to leak and creating a mist that blinds Knuckles, allowing Shadow to escape from his grasp. The song used during this battle is "Chaos 0, 2, 4" from the Dreamcast game "Sonic Adventure".]

[Before he can chase after Shadow, Rouge shows up from behind Knuckles, catching him by surprise.]
(To Knuckles) Are all red-heads as temperamental as you?
Hand that girl over now. I don't want to fight you Tails, but I will if I have to.
Cosmo never did anything to harm you! Why are you after her anyway?!
I'm not going to tell you. [darkly] Now, move aside, or you'll be sorry.
Forget it, Shadow! I won't let you hurt Cosmo!
I'm warning you. This is your last chance, Tails. Give up now, or face the consequences.
[about the device that the Metarex planted inside Cosmo's head] Can we stop it?
I'm not sure. If we do she won't be the same. The signal is controlling her sight and hearing. If we remove it she may not be able to hear or see again.
[Growls] Then that's a chance we have to take.
How can you say that?! I'm not letting anyone hurt Cosmo!
We don't want to hurt her. We just want to set her free, and if she has to lose her eyes and ears, then so be it!
There has to be another way!
[Sonic approaches Chris.]
Hey there, Chris. You still up here workin'?
Finally makin' some headway. This stuff is pretty complex.
Well, if anyone can figure it out, it's you, buddy. [looks over to see what Chris is doing.]
Man, there sure is a lot of data inside of this thing. [holds up Leon's device.]
Anything interesting?
Plenty. In fact, I'm still downloading it all. [analyzes the data.] There's a lot I haven't figured out, but what I have is pretty amazing, like this stuff here. Remember the data that Tails and Cosmo collected from that underground Metarex factory? Well, I was able to cross-reference it, and here's what I found. It's some kind of plan to wipe out all flesh and blood creatures of all kinds until the whole galaxy is populated only by trees and plant life.
[A shot of a forest planet is shown.]
[Voice-over] Plant life! There it is! There's the whole Cosmo connection! [On screen] Why didn't we see it back then, Sonic? How else could she have figured out that Metarex language? [A shot of Cosmo reading Metarex writing from An Underground Odyssey is shown. Right now, Tails is in his room, looking at a picture.] Maybe we could have done something. Maybe it would have been different if we-- [It is a picture of the party Cosmo threw.]
[Voice-over] Dwelling on the past isn't gonna make it easier, pal.
[Voice-over] Yeah, I suppose you're right. I just don't wanna see anyone get hurt, that's all.
[Cosmo is in her room, washing her face.]
[Voice-over] Tails was so upset before. Poor guy's heart is breaking. [On screen] Not to mention Cosmo. Can't be easy for her.

[Chris nods.]
It's gonna be okay. One day, all of this will be over. I promise.
[To Bokkun] I hope you don't mind me asking, but why are those numbers on your TV counting down?

Hmm... I forgot these messages self-destruct at the end. Cover your ears! It's going to be a big bang!
[cue explosion]

[laughs nervously] Betcha didn't know watching TV could be so exciting.

[laughing] Now that Sonic's team is down by one little annoying pipsqueak, I can get back to building the Eggman Empire!
