Robin Hood · Season 1, Episode 15

Winchester, Edward and others in “Unfinished Business”

[The jailer opens the door to Edward's cell]

WWinchester

Edward.

Harry!

[Edward stands up]

My old friend!

[He hugs Winchester]

WWinchester

What has happened to you?

[The jailer locks the door]

WWinchester

Sit down.

[They sit]

WWinchester

I've uh, had a visit from a friend of yours.

Robin. Excellent.

WWinchester

He advised me not to back the wrong horse.

[Edward nods and says "Mmhm". Winchester exhales]

WWinchester

But then I look where you've ended up...

Harry?

WWinchester

I could back you Edward and end up stick in a cell with vermin! Or I could back the Sheriff and just get richer and more powerful. Rats or riches? [exhales] It's a tough choice.

Harry...you cannot sign the pact.

WWinchester

Oh, I will sign the pact

You are mad if you think you can trust the Sheriff.

WWinchester

Trust? Oh, no. I don't trust anyone. You taught me that when you stole the woman I loved.

[He stands up]

WWinchester

Jailer.

Kate? She chose me Harold, I didn't steal her.

WWinchester

I was just thinking of her. I thought I saw her outside just now, a young woman, the very image of Kate.

[Pause. Edward looks up]

WWinchester

She's your daughter! Of course! She's her mother's double. Well done, Edward! We wouldn't want her inheriting your looks now, would we?

[He walks outside of the cell and the Jailer closes the door]

WWinhester

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

[As he says this, Edward stands up and moves to the door]

WWinchester

I've just had an idea. If I couldn't have the mother...hmm? What's her name? Your precious little pea?

[Quietly] No!

WWinchester

No? Now that's not a name now, is it?

[Winchester starts to walk away as Edward talks to him]

No! Harry, she's got nothing to do with this. Please!

WWinchester

[To the Jailer] I don't think he likes me any more.

[Winchester walks away]

PLEASE!
