Misato Katsuragi and Ritsuko Akagi in “Unfinished Business”

Misato Katsuragi

But he’s only 14 years old. Making him bear the burden of the future of mankind seems so cruel.

Ritsuko Akagi

But we have to use 14 year old children to pilot the Eva’s.

Misato Katsuragi

I know. But..

Ritsuko Akagi

So has he called or made contact? …Nothing?

Misato Katsuragi

Nnnuunn. Nothing. I don’t think he is going to come back this time.

Ritsuko Akagi

What will you do?

Misato Katsuragi

Nothing. It’s better for him if he doesn't come back.

Ritsuko Akagi

But why?

Misato Katsuragi

Because of what happened after the last battle.
