Ra's al-Ghul and Barbara Kean in “Unfinished Business”

[flashback] What a vital, poisonous little mind you have. Everybody hates you for it, don't they?

Barbara Kean

Yes. Everybody hates me. I don't know why.

I understand that feeling very well, Barbara. You are just the one I've been looking for. I have a present for you. But it's a secret. You shall become the Demon's Head. The League of Shadows shall be yours to command. An army of assassins. The world is weak, Barbara, and you are strong. Use the League to make the world more like you.
