Foggy Nelson quotes from Daredevil

Hopefully you'll find our starting salary competitive.

Foggy

That's one way to describe it.

It gets better. How does Hogarth, Chow, Benowitz & Nelson sound?

Foggy

Like a mouthful. I mean, a good mouthful.

Karen

I want you to tell me I'm a bad person.

Foggy

I can't say that.

Karen

Why not?

Foggy

Because you're not.

Karen

Then why are you looking at me like that?

Foggy

Because my friend -- my amazing, kind, brilliant friend went through something terrible and I didn't know.

Karen

When I got the gun, I could've called the cops, I could've run.

Foggy

You were afraid for your life. It was self-defense!

Karen

Seven times.

Foggy

What?

Karen

I shot him seven times. Because I wanted him dead.

Foggy

Has Matt been a shitty friend lately? Without a doubt. But deep down, I think it's hurting him as much as it's hurting us.

Karen

How do you figure?

Foggy

Because he could've gone to any reporter, Karen, but he came to you. Maybe Matt's finally coming to his senses. But even if he isn't, the way he's been treating us lately has been on him. But us turning our backs would be on us. People have bailed on Matt his whole life, and I'm not gonna be one of 'em. You do what you want, but that's not the kind of friend I wanna be.

Karen

[laughs] It's like you argue for a living!

Foggy

Step one, we work together. Step two, we come up with a plan. And step three, we execute that plan.

Matt

That's genius. Come up with that by yourself?

Foggy

So, I'm still working out the details.

Foggy

Matt, please--

Matt

No. We tried it your way.

Karen

It's, uh-- It's not murder if it's self-defense, right?

Foggy

Technically, plotting to kill someone is the exact legal opposite of self-defense.
