Chas ChandlerYou Zed? John said you might show up. Kind of hoped you wouldn't.
I gather that, seeing how he didn't actually give me an address.
ChasHow'd you find us?
[shows her drawing] Not a lot of mill houses in Atlanta.
ChasJohn did say you are persistent.
Well, you might want to keep the car running, mate.
ChasWhat are you gonna use? The Interpol bit? Paranormal division?
Nah, I thought I'd just wipe his mind.
ChasSo, now what? We knock on the door?
No, that never works.
ChasWhy not?
Oh, hello, we tracked an evil spirit to your house. It might be inside your kid. Do you mind if we take a look?
ChasYeah, that won't work.
No.
ChasDid you know we were coming to a convent?
It's one gory detail she left out.
Her name isn't Louise. It's Lamashtu. Eve's younger sister and a bit of a glorified vampire.
I taught you about Lamashtu. She doesn't kidnap her prey.
What does she do?
She enjoys babies for their nutritional value and lucky for you, she's curbing her hunger, though I can't conceive why. Lamshtu lives to feed.
ChasMaybe the question is... what makes keeping Hugo's litter alive?
We're nobody. We're good Catholics. We got nothing to hide.
Maybe someone's hiding something from you.
ChasIf you need me, scream.
That won't be a problem for me.
This demon will try to use our weaknesses against us. If it emerges, don't listen to it. It won't be John.
ChasI hope I can tell the difference.
[Takes keys from Chas] I've got this one, mate. I put you guys through the ringer on this one. I suppose if I was to offer my thanks, you wouldn't believe me, either.
ChasProbably not.
Not for a second.
Well, if you're sticking around for the ride, you better buckle up. What we turned up in Mexico is just the start. We're poking a stick at an evil, the likes of which the world hasn't seen in centuries. [Points keys at them in false-pride about to walk up stairs with Chas taking keys from John and walks past him up stairs ]
Stay here, they're likely to experiment on you in the name of science.
ChasOh, like you did?
That was in the name of magic. Put your pants on.
