I'd never seen a world just disintegrate right in front of my face. I know what we do requires risk. I've always accepted that, but this is different, Lyla. Seeing a universe just disappear, I don't know, it's like... like looking into the eye of God. It changes you. It changed me. I can't risk losing you. I can't risk that.
